For taxi and private hire companies
UGO is the recognised freephone service in over 90% of all supermarkets and a growing number of pubs, bars, entertainment venues, hotels and hospitals. The potential reach of UGO is effectively unlimited and every UGO phone will be a source of income for a taxi or private hire company. All we need is good quality taxi and private hire companies who want to provide a service and make money.
With well over 2500 UGO phones out there, and plenty more to follow, there is work to be had for the right companies and there is more work to come from the colleges, hospitals and local authorities with whom Transport Innovation is arranging contacts, let alone the pub, bar and hotel chains who we are talking to about how they can improve their customer service using UGO.
The customer calls you and you arrange for a driver to collect the fare from the phone's location. Your company pays for the call but this is a tiny amount compared to the overall transaction. Your company also pays a fee for access to the phone. Different locations generate different amounts of work and so the fee paid for each phone varies.
To qualify your taxi or private hire company has to meet certain criteria regarding licences and minimum service levels but most well run companies can easily meet these. You can choose a region and licensing area to find out which locations are available and then register your interest using this website or by phone to 029 8532 4950.
